Trump Lawyer, Jenna Ellis, Calls him a “Malignant Narcissist”
Jenna Ellis was not too long ago an arch defender of Donald Trump. She represented through much of his effort to overturn the election and against attempts to hold him legally accountable. Not anymore.
Don’t get me wrong, Ellis is still a right-wing extremist. That makes her criticism of the ex-president more credible:
Jenna Ellis — the Donald Trump lawyer who like the former president faces criminal charges regarding attempted election subversion in his defeat by Joe Biden in 2020 — says she will not vote for him in the future because he is a “malignant narcissist” who cannot admit mistakes.
…Ellis is a former counsel for the Thomas More Society, a conservative Catholic group, whose claims to be a constitutional lawyer have been widely doubted.
Described by the New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman as “a lawyer whom Trump sought out after seeing her television commentary”, in 2020 Ellis rose from relative obscurity to become part of what she called an “elite strike force team” working to overturn Trump’s defeat by Biden.
Ellis admits it was all lie, there was no stolen election:
Jenna Ellis, an attorney for Donald Trump who helped drive his false claims about the 2020 election results, has admitted in a Colorado disciplinary proceeding that she misrepresented evidence at least 10 times during Trump’s frantic bid to subvert his defeat.
“Respondent made these misrepresentations on Twitter and on various television programs, including Fox Business, MSNBC, Fox News, and Newsmax,” Colorado’s top disciplinary judge Bryon Large wrote in a six-page opinion. “The parties agree that by making these misrepresentations, Respondent violated [a state attorney rule of conduct], which provides that it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation.”
